Old Basket Hook, called such as woven baskets holding food and valuables are hung from this hook, that is suspended from the roof rafters. This protects them from rats.  The figure is fine and slim, with curvilinear motifs down its length, back and front. The head turns to one side; the hook at the base is bold and strong, also well carved. Traces of orange and white pigment remain. Early to mid-20^th Century.
